The “Emotionally Active Youth” program by Outside The Borders is designed to strengthen the emotional and social skills of Hispanic adolescents and young adults through four interactive workshops. Participants learn to recognize and manage their emotions and develop emotional intelligence; acquire strategies for conflict resolution and anger management; practice assertive communication; and receive tools to build healthy couple relationships, promoting personal growth and community well-being.

By participating, youth gain practical tools for self-control, empathy, and resilience that help them face everyday challenges and reduce risky or impulsive behaviors. Beyond personal growth, the program fosters a sense of belonging and community while preparing participants for healthier academic, social, and family interactions. Success is measured through surveys, self-evaluations, and feedback from caregivers, ensuring a tangible impact on the lives of participants and their environment.
