CULTURAL BACKGROUND
Rep. Dominicana/USA
Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT
I work with those from all walks of life experiencing loss, intense emotions, family estrangement, and trauma. Healing is rooted in the understanding that experiences with systematic oppression have hurful effects on personal well-being, interpersonal relationships, and physical health. If you are experiencing doubt, fear, or lack of connection in your life, I can help. I utilize non-traditional approaches to explore connections between how cultural experiences affect dynamics between family members and within the community.
I provide a culturally competent systemic approach, focusing on the healing of the interactions and relationships between the people that impact us the most. My goal is to help you bridge the gap between who you are and who you would like to be. I use a directive style, gently challenging you to think outside the limits of your comfort zone.
I will support you through your journey towards growth, where you can discover hope, healing, and harmony. You can find emotional balance and acceptance, as you rebuild trust, and learn to forgive. My passion is helping you to find the necessary tools to build the life you want, while detaching with love, from the life that no longer serves you.
I utilize a variety of evidence based approaches depending on your needs as we collaboratively find what would be best for you. I am relational Gottman trained level 1 and 2, IFS-informed, Contextual family therapy and certified Trauma Specialist.
